PLEASE NOTE:

All Studded Tire Classes are for Stock, Prepared, or Modified Cars.

The standard studded tire for all studded classes is the Menards Studded Ice Racing Tire.

Rules for studded tires:

The standard for Studded Ice Racing tires for WAG Ice Trials is the Menards Studded Ice Racing Tire in 13", 14" and 15" sizes. This is a re-cap style tire featuring the studs through the cap adhered to the [outside of] the tire carcass. In the event that the Menards tire will not fit on a car because the height of the studded cap is so tall that that the studs would rub on the inner fender, or other portion of the car, a home-made substitute may be allowed. All home-made studded tires must pass a WAG Technical Inspection for Compliance and Safety. These tires may use a bolt through the tire carcass no larger than 5mm [#10] with a nut on the opposite side of the carcass- one fender washer no larger than 1" will allowed on each side of the carcass under the bolt head and the nut. The bolt may not protrude more than 5mm through the nut on the outside of the tire carcass. No Screw-in type studs will be allowed. There may be no more than 135 studs on 13" tires, 150 studs on 14" tires or 170 studs on 15" tires. The through bolt/nut "studs" must be sealed to the tire in such a way as to hold air indefinitely without leaking. In the event of a sudden tire deflation on the Ice Trials course during a practice or timed run, the car must be driven off the racing surface immediately so as not to impede any following car[s]- if the car cannot return to the paddock area under it's own power, it will be towed back by the WAG Course Control [tow] vehicle. This will only be allowed once per event day- if it occurs a second time, the car and it's times will be deleted from that day's competition. Questions or Requests for Exceptions must be submitted in writing to event steward Dave Parps.

3 drivers minimum per class.  If there are less than 3 entries, classes will be combined for trophies per event stewards.
