Class descriptions for 2002 Ice Trials:
Note that there have been quite a few changes from last year to accommodate 4X4 trucks as well as the popularity of larger wheel sizes.
Class A (unlimited) is for modified (racing) cars
A-1 = FWD unlimited, any wheel size, studded racing tires
A-2 = RWD unlimited, any wheel size, studded racing tires
A-3 = AWD unlimited, any wheel size, studded racing tires
A-4 = 4X4 unlimited, any wheel size, studded racing tires
Classes B through D are for unmodified street cars
B-1 = FWD, 13" wheels & smaller
B-2 = FWD, 14" wheels
B-3 = FWD, 15" wheels
B-4 = FWD, 16" wheels & larger
B-5 = FWD, stock car with studded (racing) tires -- normally aspirated
B-6 = FWD, stock car with studded (racing) tires -- turbocharged or supercharged
C-1 = RWD, 13" wheels & smaller
C-2 = RWD, 14" wheels
C-3 = RWD, 15" wheels
C-4 = RWD, 16" wheels & larger
C-5 = RWD, stock car with studded (racing) tires -- normally aspirated
C-6 = RWD, stock car with studded (racing) tires -- turbocharged or supercharged
D-1 = AWD, 13" wheels & smaller
D-2 = AWD, 14" wheels
D-3 = AWD, 15" wheels
D-4 = AWD, 16" wheels & larger
D-5 = AWD, stock car with studded (racing) tires -- normally aspirated
D-6 = AWD, stock car with studded (racing) tires -- turbocharged or supercharged
D-7 = 4X4 trucks & SUVs, 15" wheels & smaller
D-8 = 4X4 trucks & SUVs, 16" wheels & larger
Note: 3 drivers minimum per class. If there are less than 3 entries, classes will be combined for trophies per event stewards.
